COVID-19

Covid in the workplace (updated September 2023)

The final vaccine mandate for most workers ended Monday 26 September 2022 and then on the 15th of August 2023 all remaining Covid-19 requirements around isolation and masks were removed due to the reduced public health risk. Then in September 2023 the PM of New Zealand Chris Hipkins insisted that "there was no compulsory vaccination, people made their own choices", a somewhat shocking and untruthful statement.

Hipkins has essentially thrown employers under the Covid bus because it turns out they too were not forced to force their workers to be vaccinated. Apparently they also had a choice, which as many are finding out in employment court, it was wrong to sack workers for refusing the jab. Turns out workers had human rights.

So employers need to understand that continuing to force staff to get vaccinated may leave the company open to litigation, as it becomes more and more obvious that not only does the vaccine not work as promised, but it is causing unprecedented amounts of harm compared to the low incidence of covid harm suffered by workers.

As a contractor lecturing about safety on different sites daily, it really has become evident that nobody really gives a toss about Covid-19 precautions any more. Those that do have become noticeably silent with not one person challenging me when I inform them that workplace first aiders are more likely to be dealing with heart attacks than slips, trips and falls. Heart attacks have increased by a shocking 83% since 2021 and Medsafe can't find any causation or corelation with vaccination. A bizarre coincidence it would seem.

How did we get here?

Following the arrival of Delta variant to New Zealand in 2021, the fear of increased hospitalisation and death among the healthy working population proved to be unfounded.

Then in early 2022 the Omicron variant spread across the country and according to media reports based on government approved information many people would die from the illness. This also did not eventuate and vaccination rates were falling as people realised that for most it would be mild symptoms similar to that of a mild cold.

By March 2022 the total NZ deaths since the start of the alleged pandemic, including from Delta strain was only 34.

Then on the 10th of March 2022, Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield announced a change in how the Ministry Of Health would report Covid-19 related deaths and the government immediately proceded to exagerate the death rate which resulted in an increase in fear and vaccination uptake. Prior to this date a person had to actually die from complications directly related to Covid-19 to be recorded as a covid death.

From the 10th of March 2022, in accordance with World Health Organization recommendations deaths are now automatically included as Covid-19 related if the person died within 28 days of a positive test result, even if Covid-19 was not the cause of death! This means that people that die primarily of other causes including for example motor vehicle accident, drowning, old age, shot by police, suicide and sudden adult death syndrome (SADS) shortly after vaccination would now add to the covid death tally, boosting fear of Covid-19 in the population.

Also included are persons known to have had Covid-19 when they died but their actual cause of death is not known. Strangely, since the roll out of the vaccinations in 2021, the incidence of "cause of death unknown" and SADS has increased considerably as all cause mortality has increased 25% on average around the world.

Within two weeks of the new reporting system, alleged Covid deaths in New Zealand had almost tripled from 34 to 91 Covid-19 "related"deaths. Consequently vaccination rates including for children started to increase again due to the fear mongering.

Interestingly, 10 days after changing the statistic counting protocols, Dr Bloomfield closely followed by several other high ranking MOH staff formally announced their resignations.

It is estimated that, based on the findings from other countries that have reviewed their statistics, the covid death toll may be inflated by as much as 50% due to the WHO death certificate policy.

Workplace Risk Assessments

Like other businesses affected by the mandates, VerifyME.kiwi conducted an updated risk assessment to understand the changing risk Covid-19 poses to our staff while at work in the current environment however, we have not limited our research to government accredited data only. We have also considered up to date unbiased scientific data from around the world as well as up to date New Zealand health data.

We know that each subsequent variant of a virus, while more transmissive, is usually less virulent than the previous and therefore the risk of harm continues to be reduced with each new variant, and we expect this to remain true with Omicron and it's sub-variants. In fact, on the 18th February 2022 Dr Bryan Betty - Medical Director, Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners announced "Omicron is mainly a cold-like illness and probably less severe than flu"

There is also a growing amount of evidence that suggests a significant number of otherwise healthy workers are being harmed by the vaccinations and are requiring time off work to recover from minor and serious reactions to the injection.

Sadly, many workers find it difficult to admit the possibility that their illness may have been caused by the vaccination, chosing to believe the coincidence theory put forward by Medsafe or that their illness was caused by Covid-19. Regardless of the proven cause of illness, many workers have been unable to return to work promptly following vaccination and ACC has seen a massive increase in claims due to vaccine harm.

We also must consider the implications of New Zealand health data leaked IN LATE 2023 that shows hospitalisations for stroke and myocarditis have increased by 25% and 33% since 2021 and heart attacks resulting in hospitalisation have increased an alarming 83%!

While correlation does not necessarily prove causation, we believe that any risk of potential adverse effects from control measures such as vaccination, must be carefully considered against the risk from the perceived hazard from Covid-19 Omicron and subsequent weaker variants.

The fact that Pfizer's own forcibly released documents (they wanted them hidden for 75 years) list many ailments including stroke, myocarditis and heart attack as known adverse reactions means that we must seriously consider the possibility of vaccine harm when conducting the workplace risk assessment.

We must also consider that vaccinating to prevent transmission no longer applies, as it has been confirmed by court released Pfizer documentation that the injection was never tested to prevent transmission and the real live experiment forced on billions of people world wide has proven that it does not prevent transmission.

Against all this data, the estimated survival rate of Covid is 99.9% for 18 to 49 year olds. Therefore, we believe the following protocols to be the best way to protect our workers and contractors not only from Covid-19 related illness but also from any potential harm from the vaccination itself.

VerifyME.kiwi Respiratory Illness Policy (as at 1 July 2023, formerly Covid-19 Policy)

Based on the current risk to our staff and others in the work setting from Covid-19, we have revoked our Covid-19 policy and replaced it with a Respiratory Illness Policy.

We now recommend the following control measures to minimise work related harm and to also reduce the risk of spread of any respiratory illnesses including flu, Covid-19 and other coronavirus colds.

  • Indoor lecture sessions should be in a ventilated room (or with open windows).

  • At least 3 metres from podium to front row must be observed (instructors will lecture without a mask and so this will minimise any risk from spit droplets).

  • Mask wearing for participants is discouraged and is optional for particpants. Instructors will not wear masks, if this will be a problem, do not engage our services.

  • Wash hands, cough and sneeze into elbows. Symptomatic people should stay home.

NOTE: Vaccination against any disease or illness will continue to be the choice of each worker in our business.

Medical Status

It is the policy of VerifyME.Kiwi to uphold basic human rights and individual freedoms and specifically those rights afforded every Kiwi under the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990

including but not limited to;

  • The Right not to be subjected to medical or scientific experimentation,

  • The Right to refuse to undergo medical treatment,

VerifyME.Kiwi will NEVER mandate our staff, customers or contractors to provide proof of vaccination to any disease.

We respect the individual right to medical choice and privacy, and we most certainly will not aid and abet the installation of a medical apartheid system in New Zealand.

We believe freedom is a right of every New Zealander and it IS NOT a privilege granted to us by politicians or the WHO.

Should businesses consider a review of their Covid-19 Risk Assessment and policy?

ABSOLUTELY! Most supermarkets and chemists have taken down the barriers, and you should too. If you currently have no Covid-19 policy, don't even bother.

Omicron and sub variants are highly contagious, but its effects are generally less severe compared to previous variants. Experts say that Covid-19 is now an endemic illness and has evolved into a weaker form, similar to other coronaviruses (colds) and flu viruses that have long circulated in the general population since the beginning of time. This is good news as the overall risk level is now much lower.

If you would like a FREE Covid-19 policy template suitable for businesses, you can download the MSWord document here and copy, paste & edit to suit your requirements. However, as at February 2023 I now recommend forgetting about it altogether or at least relaxing to a "respiratory illnesses" policy.

If you don't have the time or inclination, we can customise a respiratory illnesses policy for a small fee. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries at all.
